Voters react to Gov. Tim Walz’s claim that abortion is a ‘fundamental human right’

Voters in Fox News Digital’s debate voting panel had a mixed reaction in real time to Vice President Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz’s pro-abortion argument during CBS News’ vice presidential debate against Sen. JD Vance.

When Walz was asked if he supported abortions up to the ninth month since Minnesota is one of the states with the least restrictions on abortion, he replied, “That’s not in the bill.”

While the number of Republican voters fell significantly while Walz spoke, independent and Democratic voters remained largely in approval territory.

“We restored Roe v. Wade and ensured women take responsibility for their health care,” Walz said.

Independents’ approval fell slightly, while Democratic voters rose sharply during his declaration. The two eventually evened out and remained in the approval zone.

A visibly shaky Walz says the world needs “stable leadership.”

“It’s a basic human right,” he said later.

Independent voters remained slightly below the Democrats’ approval line, while Republicans clearly rejected it.
