BATON ROUGE, La. (WVUE) – A well-known social media personality on TikTok is now behind bars in connection with the murder of a therapist.

Terryon Ishmael Thomas, 20, a TikTok personality known as “Mr.Prada,” was arrested in connection with the murder of 69-year-old Baton Rouge therapist William Nicholas “Nick” Abraham.

Thomas now faces an extradition hearing before a judge in Texas. During this hearing, the judge will determine whether the suspect should be sent back to Louisiana to face charges under the Baton Rouge Police Department warrant.

Abraham’s body was found Sunday (September 29) wrapped in a tarp and in a ditch along Highway 51 between Fluker and the village of Tangipahoa.

Authorities attempted to stop the stolen vehicle Monday afternoon in Baton Rouge, but the driver reportedly backed into an officer-marked unit and fled. The officer identified Thomas as the driver based on a lineup.

Thomas is wanted for aggravated property damage, resisting an officer and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

A BRPD spokesperson confirmed Thomas’ username as “Mr.Prada.” Across two accounts on TikTok, Thomas has 8.2 million followers and over 550 million likes.

According to Tangipahoa Parish officials, Abraham, a well-known Baton Rouge therapist and former Catholic priest, died of blunt force trauma to the head, neck and shoulders. Sheriff Gerald Sticker described the incident as a “very physical, very violent death.”

Abraham’s body was found Sunday morning by a passerby who noticed a suspicious tarp on the side of the road. Investigators believe the body was dumped there on Saturday evening. Investigators are still working to determine where the murder took place. A search of Abraham’s Baton Rouge home revealed no signs of crime.

Abraham was a familiar face in the Baton Rouge area, having appeared on cable television as a mental health therapist.

His lawyer, Jarrett Ambeau, says he is shocked by the brutality of his death.

“I am absolutely devastated and completely surprised that something like this could happen to a man who I believed was so tender, so gentle and with such a servant heart,” Ambeau said.

In 2015, a then 11-year-old man accused Abraham of inappropriately touching him during a counseling session. Ambeau represented Abraham in the 2015 case and said the alleged victim in that case was not “Mr. Prada.”
