Billy Joel concert, other events in St. Louis postponed

ST. LOUIS – Rain from Hurricane Helene has caused several events taking place in the St. Louis area on Friday to be postponed.

The concert, originally planned for Friday evening, has been postponed to Sunday, September 29th. Tickets that have already been purchased remain valid for Sunday.

Live Nation released the following statement:

“The safety of fans, artists, crew and employees is our top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

NHRA Midwest Nationals

The NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway was canceled Friday due to poor weather conditions.

According to the NHRA, racing begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, starting with the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Friday ticket holders can exchange their tickets for a Saturday or Sunday ticket. For more information click here.

Bridgeton Family Fall Festival and Fireworks

Friday’s Bridgeton Fall Fest has been canceled. The 5K run on Saturday will still take place and there is space for additional participants to register.

Bridgeton Parks and Recreation released the following statement, which reads in part:

“We take everyone’s safety seriously and cannot allow our vendors, attractions and visitors to be in the forecast conditions.”

Zootoberfest

The Saint Louis Zoo announced that the Zootoberfest+ beer tasting has been canceled due to safety concerns for guests and animals. Those who purchased tickets will receive a full refund.
